Our Programs

Homeownership

Coos County Habitat for Humanity partners with individuals and families from application, through construction, to when the loan documents are signed and the keys are handed over. By working with us from beginning to end, prospective individuals prepare for the various responsibilities of homeownership including managing personal finances, paying a mortgage, home maintenance and upkeep, and more.

Habitat homes are sold to partner families through an affordable, zero percent interest mortgage. Mortgage payments are put into a revolving fund that helps fund current and future homeownership opportunities for Coos County families.

Habitat’s path to homeownership is an important and in-depth process, requiring hard work, time and dedication. This helps to ensure the long-term success of Habitat homeowners.

Critical Home Repairs

Coos County Habitat for Humanity also focuses on the community through our Critical Home Repair program. This program, funded primarily through grants from generous community partners, helps limited income homeowners in Coos County with health and safety repairs.
